On Friday, January 17th 2020 Lake Agawam Conservancy hosted an educational seminar on toxic-free landscaping for professional landscaper providers and interested community members. Over 130 guests attended this free, open to the public, 5-hour event at the Southampton Arts Center. Speakers included Edwina von Gal of the Perfect Earth Project, Kevin McDonald of the Nature Conservancy, Sean O’Neill of Peconic Baykeeper, Tony Piazza of Piazza Horticultural and Paul Wagner of Greener Pastures Organics, who together discuss why and how to reduce the chemical load on your clients’ and your own property. Please enjoy the videos below to learn from these experts. One simple take away from the event: use compost tea instead of synthetic fertilizer to keep your lawn looking lush year round.
