Bioswale Installed At End Of Linden Lane In Southampton Village Aims To Help Improve Water Quality In Lake Agawam
Improving water quality in Lake Agawam has long been an important issue for the Southampton Village Board, as well as residents. For those living at the end of a short, bucolic street off South Main Street, there is evidence that another step has been taken toward that goal.
A new bioswale has been installed at the end of Linden Lane, a dead-end street that dips down to the shore of Lake Agawam, where homeowners look out across the lake and can see, to their right, the edge of the park and monuments there.
